What I want to talk about is sleigh beds. We get a lot of requests for sleigh beds and sometimes people don't understand why they cost so much more than a plain bed. Here's why - because we make one off pieces they vary in size and shape so each time we make one we have to make a complete new moulding for the plywood to bend on.
Here are some pictures.
.In the first picture you see one half of the mould then in the next pictures you see the veneered plywood layers sandwiched between the two moulds. The finished result is the bent plywood ready to be made into a sleigh bed.
Because each bed is different we can rarely use the same mould twice.
